Quick on the heels of being shortlisted for Best ESG Provider and Best Platform at the Money Marketing Awards 2022, the P1 Investment Team has gained further recognition by being shortlisted at the Investment Week Sustainable Investment Awards 2022 for Best Sustainable Wealth Manager/DFM, and in a brilliant acknowledgement for the work Dr Rayer, P1’s Head of Ethical & Sustainable Investing, he’s been shortlisted for Outstanding Individual Contribution To Sustainable Investing.
P1 works hard to ensure that our Ethical and Sustainable Investing services continue to deliver not only in portfolio performance but also in the highest level of ethical investing to our clients. Our extensive due diligence (70+ questions & proprietary scoring system), application of an external Ethical Oversight Committee and engagement with ESG, Sustainable and Ethical funds ensure that investors can feel confident that when using our Ethical Model Portfolios it’s not greenwashed, but truly ethical. Ethical and sustainable action is more than investing to us, it’s part of our company; we are ISO14001 certified, carbon offset our business travel and actions, and engaged with 3rd party consultancy to bring our emissions to net zero.
In addition to the success of P1’s Investment Team, P1’s Head of Ethical & Sustainable Investing, Dr Quintin Rayer, has been shortlisted for Outstanding Individual Contribution to Sustainable Investing. Quintin masterminded P1’s Net Zero Carbon Target, which now has over £14bn AUM engaging and investing in companies to be Net Zero by 2030. The target is a tool for wealth managers to engage fund managers, and fund managers to engage their portfolio with the objective of becoming net zero by 2030. 14 funds from 10 different fund houses are signed up to the target ranging from fixed income and emerging markets to social property REITs and traditional UK Equity Income funds. In addition to his pioneering work in the existing industry, Quintin is shaping the investors and financial advisers of the future as he contributes chapters on Sustainable Investing to CISI Portfolio Construction Theory Textbooks. He has added and expanded the topic in the textbooks and authored questions to ensure the next generation of investors are aware of the challenges and needs of sustainable investing.
Not only does he shape the future from within the industry, but he also reaches outside to influence the next generation. He has guest lectured on the topic of sustainable Investing at the University of Exeter, Sheffield University, and The Imperial College. On top of lecturing, Quintin has mentored graduate and post-graduate students as they look to understand and develop sustainable investing.
Congratulations Quintin for this work and for it being recognised.
