Let P1 Investment Management help you organise CPD events for you and your advisers.  This is a great way to access the knowledge of P1’s experts in a range of areas.

For selected business partners, including financial advisers and other intermediaries, P1 runs free CPD seminars on a number of topics. Due to the professionalism and quality of the training, many of our presentations are endorsed by the CISI as structured CPD.

While, for practical reasons, we cannot make this service available to everyone, we try hard to accommodate as many requests as we can, and would be delighted to help you if we are able.  We offer presentations or seminars on the topics below, with attendance certificates provided to delegates to support the CPD needs of you and your colleagues.  If you think we may be able to help you, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Current CPD (Continuing Professional Development) Event Topics:

Ethical Investing Dr Quintin Rayer, Head of Research and Ethical Investing Ethical and sustainable investment can be seen as a ‘nice-to-have’ but not an essential part of a portfolio, but is actually of fundamental importance. This session will increase familiarity with concepts and phrases such as ‘sustainable investment’, ‘Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance’ (ESG). We also consider the various approaches used for investing ethically.  Finally Dr Quintin Rayer explains how ethical investing can be implemented to achieve optimal ethical value for your clients.  For more background on ethical investing see:  Ethical and Sustainable Investing Research

Portfolio Stress-Testing

Dr Quintin Rayer, Head of Research and Ethical Investing Financial professionals are likely aware of the stress testing regulators have applied to banks and financial institutions to help identify how resilient their balance sheets would be to renewed market crisis. However, it may not have occurred to them that conceptually similar approaches can be applied to their own portfolios.  Dr Quintin Rayer introduces this important topic and shows how it can reassure you and your clients that portfolio risk levels have been appropriately selected even under difficult market conditions.  For more background on stress-testing see: Stress-testing Research

Approximately 1.5 hour CPD

Business Ethics Dr Quintin Rayer, Head of Research and Ethical Investing Financial professionals are familiar with compliance requirements, including treating customers fairly and anti-bribery policies, to name two.  But trust in financial services remains low amongst the wider public.  Business ethics training can strengthen ethical culture beyond regulatory compliance. Our business ethics seminar, led by Dr Quintin Rayer, includes topics such as the relationship between ethics and the law, ethical principles and the relevance of ethics to financial professionals. For more background on business ethics see: Business ethics: moving beyond just compliance
