Welcome to January’s P1peline

3 minute read

2026 is here and we’re ready for another big year at P1. With the festivities behind us and only the Bounties left in the Celebrations tin, it’s time to get back into work mode.

Here’s what we’ve been up to over the past month (and year) in this edition of the P1PELINE.

P1 2025 Wrapped

Your family and friends’ reaction to you announcing you’re in the top 1% of Neil Diamond listeners this year might have been underwhelming, but that’s OK. We’re here to tell you that we love end-of-year wrapped statistics too. So much so, we’ve made our own.

Take a look below to see what P1 users have been up to in 2025.

2026 Investment Outlook

CIO Will Dickson reflects on a strong 2025 for investment portfolios, with equity markets posting further gains, fixed income regaining its role as a meaningful contributor to returns, and gold outperforming amid heightened macro and political uncertainty.

Looking ahead to 2026, he explores a more challenging environment shaped by slowing growth, moderating inflation, elevated equity valuations and ongoing questions around how far central banks can ease policy. With bonds becoming increasingly attractive, political risk driving volatility and real assets offering compelling diversification, Will outlines where opportunities and risks may lie in the year ahead.

Multi-Factor Authentication added to P1 Platform

As part of our ongoing commitment to protecting client data, we’re introducing Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across our technology. MFA adds an extra layer of security by requiring a second form of verification alongside your password, helping to ensure only authorised users can access your account.

We’re starting with Report Pilot, using the same login credentials that will apply to our new platform interface when it launches, meaning MFA will only need to be completed once. Users will be able to verify their identity using a one-time password sent by email or SMS, or via an authenticator app such as Microsoft Authenticator or Google Authenticator.

If you didn’t receive these updates or have any questions about MFA, please contact our platform team, who will be happy to assist.

Internal Promotions

We recently congratulated Michelle Angell and Craig White who have been promoted to Head of Operations & Risk Management and Head of Product and Platform respectively. Both thoroughly deserved.
